We recently had the honour of being asked to do some photography for Yorebridge House Hotel in the beautiful Yorkshire Dales. We were invited at the same time to stay the night in the gorgeous Greenwich suite and sample the delights of the award winning restaurant. The hotel has won numerous accolades from the industry and has been voted the UK’s most romantic hotel by Trip Advisor – it was probably the hot tubs sat alongside the roaring river that did it – and they see marriage proposals galore under their roof every weekend. Each of their rooms is themed by country which makes you want to go back and try each one seperately. We struggled to settle on a favourite and the debate ended as a draw between the gorgeous Italian style black and white themed room (Pienza) and the African themed suite (Kariega) complete with stunning views across the Dales.
We had an amazing couple of days enjoying both their hospitality and the opportunity to photograph every corner of the hotel, as well as the food. We’d never done food photography before and although it was creatively huge fun – it was also absolute torture trying to concentrate with the aroma coming off those plates. Top tip for next time – never do it on an empty stomach! Needless to say that between us in the evening we ordered pretty much everything we had photographed.
So after having stayed there, met the lovely staff, explored the hotel and eaten the food we can safely say it is one of our favourite hotels and we will be back. Whether it’s as a venue for an intimate wedding, or with a marquee in the grounds for a larger celebration, or simply for a romantic weekend getaway, we have no hesitation in highly recommending it.
Here are a selection of images we took.
