Sunday saw us arriving at magnificent Denton Hall on the most beautiful pre-Spring morning. Blue skies, daffodils and the sort of warmth from the sun that teases you with what’s to come over the next few months. The occasion was the Denton Hall Wedding Experience day hosted by Yorkshire’s very own Box Tree Events who provide the fine catering for weddings at Denton Hall. And who better to host a party? Only the best champagne and mouth-watering canapés from the Michelin-starred Box Tree restaurant awaited the guests as they arrived. The only problem (note to organiser!) is that us poor exhibitors had to watch the trays of delicacies pass back and forth all day and only got to dig in after all the brides had gone home – torture!!
The emphasis was on quality food and suppliers (to complement the stunning venue), an unhurried and relaxed experience, and a really enjoyable day. Suffice to say it was a huge success on all accounts. Without exception, everyone we chatted to was having a fantastic time. We spoke to a host of lovely couples about their wedding photography at Denton Hall and elsewhere, and as always, heard some fabulous stories of romantic & very imaginative proposals! In between these conversations, we took it in turns to duck away and take a few snaps of what was going on and of some of the amazing products on display. In particular watch out for:
Fabulously intricate vintage crockery hire by All The Tea And China
The most amazing hand-made handbags & accessories by Rusty Dusty (Jane – the owner – actually designed and built her stand out of cardboard to look like a vintage sideboard! Incredible.)
Cakes & biscuits by Just Darling Cakes
The table plan/floral arrangement by Lilly B’s Wedding Stationery Boutique
And of course, huge thanks to Box Tree Events for putting on such a brilliant day (and thanks for the hometime champers and snacks!)
