A beautiful Friday at the very beginning of Spring, Hazlewood Castle in all its glory and our very good friends Matt & Lyndsay celebrating their wedding with family and loved ones. Taking photographs at an event like that is an absolute joy and we had an amazing, action-packed, day.
It was about 6 months ago when Lyndsay uttered those immortal words “I’m having two dresses – one for the civil ceremony and one for the blessing”. Two dresses, two ceremonies and twice the volume of tears & emotion. It doesn’t get any better for a couple of detail and emotion-obsessed photographers!
Here are a few highlights from the start of the day – early morning venue shots, bride and groom preparations and the very intimate civil ceremony.
Then after a glass of bubbly and a few canapes it was off to get into the second dress in time for the blessing at the beautiful onsite chapel. Afterwards the newly married Mr and Mrs Biddle emerged into bright Spring sunshine and we got cracking with some gorgeous bride and groom photos and some fun group shots.
The drinks reception was turning into quite a party and it took some persuasion to get everyone inside for the wedding breakfast. We then had a chance to download, eat & drink (thanks for the food guys) and put together some highlights of the day so far to play on a big screen before the evening reception. Then it was into the speeches – witty, moving and expertly delivered! The evening then witnessed a major party complete with the very excellent Rook and the Ravens filling the dancefloor with some top tunes, mainly from long before they were born!! And we even found time to nip back outside with Lyndsay and Matt for a few more cheeky pics. Here are some final images from the rest of the day and evening along with their highlights slideshow. Our thanks to Lyndsay & Matt for having us document such an incredible day.
